A New York-based photographer, Ms. Briselli has degrees in painting from Pratt and the University of Pennsylvagraphy and pania. Her work combines photointing or uses multiple images. Her photographs are in numerous public and private collections including American Express, Bank of America and the Amoco Oil Corporation.

Each handpainted silver or chromogenic-based image (photo-painting) is unique due to subtle but distinct variations in the painting process from one work to the next. It is for this reason that traditional numbered editions do not apply, though use of a single image will not exceed 12 printings.

Brigitte Carnochan came to the United States in 1947 where she became a University English teacher. Following other interests, she went on to become a serious gardener and to teach photography at Stanford University. Her beautifully-crafted black and white botanical studies combine these two passions.

These photographs of bird nests display the range and skill of our amazing feathered architects, as well as the incredible diversity and beauty of their design. As it is generally not possible to ID the builder of a found nest, the images are titled by whim.. (None of these nests was "taken".) All prints are signed.
